How it works

Six months, four stages.

Local search is a build, not a switch. Here's what happens in each stretch of it, and roughly when you should expect the phone to change.

Stage 1, free

The audit

I search your towns myself, the way a homeowner would. Then I look at your profile, your site, your reviews, and the four competitors beating you.

You get a written rundown of what's wrong and what it's worth. No call required, and it's yours whether you hire me or not. Usually back within two business days.

What's in it

  • Where you sit on the map in each town you serve
  • What's missing or wrong on your Google Business Profile
  • The four competitors beating you and what they have that you don't
  • What's costing you calls on the site itself

Stage 2, month one

The cleanup

Listings fixed, profile filled, site problems patched, review system installed. This is the unglamorous month and nothing on the map moves much while it happens.

It's also the month that decides whether the next five work. Running ranking work on top of two duplicate listings with different phone numbers is throwing money at a problem you haven't found yet.

Expect

  • Rank barely moves. That's correct.
  • A baseline you can measure everything else against.
  • Your foremen getting a one-page doc about review texts.

Stage 3, months two to six

Ranking

Service area pages, local mentions, photos going up weekly, reviews coming in. One town at a time, in the order of what a job is worth there.

The phone starts moving around month three. Profile and listing work can move the map in 30 to 60 days. Pages and reviews take longer and hold longer.

Expect

  • Month two: profile changes start showing on the map.
  • Month three: calls move first, quote requests follow.
  • Months four to six: towns move into the top three one at a time.

Stage 4, ongoing

The monthly page

One page from me: calls, quote requests, where you rank in each town, what I did, what's next. Read it in four minutes.

Plus one 20-minute call a month if you want it. Rankings alone are not the report. If the map moved and the phone didn't, I'll say so and tell you what I think is wrong.

What I need from you

  • Job photos when you have them.
  • Ten minutes on the phone once a month.
  • Your foremen sending the review text. That last one is the whole thing.

Working together

How I keep the price honest.

Requests go to one email address, and I answer by the next business day. Not by text at 4pm on a Tuesday. That's not me being precious, it's the reason a one-person studio can charge $1,500 instead of $3,000.

Scope changes get a price, not a favor. If you want a fourth town or an extra page, there's a number for it on the pricing page. Nothing gets quietly absorbed and then resented six months later.

Start at stage one

The audit is free.

No call, no pitch deck. I'll search your towns and send the rundown, usually within two business days.
